Transit of Venus 2004

On 2004 June 08th the first visible transit of the planet Venus across the solar disc since 1882 could be observed.

For all people, who were not able to see the event or just want to refresh their memories, I did a couple of photographs which are presented here.

Technical details:
Camera: Canon EOS 50E
Main-Optics: 12-inch Meade LX200 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope
Solar filter: 3 apertures of 9cm each, equipped with Baader Astrosolar ND5 filter foil
Film: Fuji Sensia 100 slide film
Location: Paul-Baumann-Observatory at Klein-Winternheim, Germany
